The assumption is that burglars break into your homes to steal your money and jewelery, correct? Not so fast, we discovered that almost 90% of "elite" burglars don't break in to get your cash, jewelry, and electronics - they're going for your personal information on your computers.
They break in, open up your computer, clone your entire hard drive, and then they are onto the next victim. What do they do with this data? Well, you can imagine what happens after they have your personal information.
In the state of California alone we've found 2,385 cases of this happening. This statistic is just for the month of March in 2015.
So keep your doors open, but hide your computers.
